A Thriving Bridge Scene

Royal South Yarra features an active group of dedicated bridge players who conduct a range of bridge-related activities including card evenings and group lessons for beginners and advanced players. Matches are also played against other similar clubs during the year.

Members play bridge from 1.00pm to 4.00pm on Tuesdays and 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesdays. Social Members are most welcome to attend. Bookings are not required.

The Tuesday Bridge Group also sends teams to play in a competition against four golf clubs during the year, with a reciprocal day at Royal South Yarra.

To play Duplicate Bridge at RSY it is preferable to enter with a partner. However, for those entering on their own, the Bridge Convenor will do what they can to ensure that they have a partner allocated to them. Results are tallied over the year and the winner is awarded the Janette Machin Trophy.

Four times a year a casual teams competition is held, with participants reporting that it is a great deal of fun and good practice for the inter-club competitions.
